Project Officer

Job Description

The Green Earth (TGE), a local green charity, is looking for a new teammate passionate about conserving beautiful nature.

 

Nature: outdoor education

 

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the organization’s mission and vision and motivate people to protect the environment through environmental education and community engagement;
  • Plan, coordinate and implement environmental education programs (primarily tree planting, planting site monitoring, Leave No Trace and Sustainable Trails education programs; and waste reduction and climate action);
  • Outreach to public participants and corporate partners to promote green messages on nature conservation and green lifestyle;
  • Liaise with participating groups on activity arrangement;
  • Prepare educational materials, publicity materials and publications to promote relevant green messages;
  • Handle project administrative works such as progress report writing, budget management, etc.;
  • Perform any other necessary duties as assigned by the Seniors.

 

Requirements:

  • Passionate about making a difference on the environment. Had a strong belief on the vision and mission of The Green Earth;
  • Bachelor's degree or above (Graduated in environmental subject preferred);
  • At least 1 year of working experience;
  • Outgoing and a nature lover;
  • Self-motivated, to drive your own workflow and output;
  • Good command in written and spoken Chinese and English;
  • Good communication skill;
  • Proficient in MS Office, Chinese Processing and basic graphic design tools.;
  • Required to work in non-regular hours in the evenings, weekends or public holidays;
  • Physically fit to guide outdoor programmes. Field work is required;

 

Fresh graduates will be considered if he/she can show solid experience in field work or nature conservation education. Please tell us more in your letter.

Project Manager/ Senior Project Officer (Corporate Engagement)

 

Job Description

With The Green Earth’s growth in corporate partnerships, we are hiring a project manager/ senior project officer to join the corporate engagement team, to help build successful green programmes in partnership with the business sector, turning Hong Kong into a healthy green city.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Engage the business sector by offering corporate partnership programmes including green workshops/ support/ activities
  • Assist in implementing various corporate partnership programmes/activities and fundraising activities
  • Prepare partnership and publicity materials/publications to promote relevant green actions and messages
  • Follow up with the partnership from proposal to documentation and reporting
  • Assist in developing partnership programmes
  • Promote assigned projects through various media or online platforms

 

Requirements:

  • Passionate about making a difference in the environment. Had a strong belief in the vision and mission of The Green Earth
  • A Bachelor's degree or above in relevant disciplines, preferably in environmental studies; event/project management or marketing communications
  • Preferably 2-3 years of working experience. Experienced in environmental topics such as carbon neutrality, waste management and/or ESG will be an advantage
  • Self-motivated, with a positive attitude and a growth mindset
  • Excellent communication skills and good command of written and spoken Chinese and English
  • Proficient in MS Office, Chinese Processing, and basic graphic design tools
  • Outgoing, nature/outdoor activity lovers
  • NGO or marketing experience is a plus
  • Occasional non-regular work hours in the evenings, weekends, or public holidays will be compensated with time off
