Environmental Affairs Officer

Job DescriptionTGE is looking for a candidate who is passionate about striving for environmental sustainability in Hong Kong, through environmental policy research and campaigns.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement communication strategies in environmental campaigns and research;
- Follow up on the research agenda in environmental policies and initiatives, mainly on waste management and climate action;
- Formulate environmental policy recommendations to the government, corporate partners and community stakeholders;
- Liaise and maintain good communications with stakeholders and media;
- Analyse findings and communicate green knowledge, messages and recommendations to a wide audience via different channels;
- Explore and maintain up-to-date environmental knowledge for internal project teams.

Requirements
- Passionate about making a difference to the environment;
- Have a strong belief on the vision and mission of The Green Earth;
- A Bachelor's degree or above in Environmental Studies, Communications, Public Administration, Social Science or other related disciplines;
- At least 2 years of relevant working experience;
- Understanding and interest in government policies and environmental issues of Hong Kong;
- Strong analytical and presentation skills;
- Experience in media communications and/or online campaigning will be an advantage;
- Good command in written and spoken Chinese and English;
- Working in non-regular hours or holidays may be required.
