Project Officer

 

Job Description

The Green Earth (TGE), a local green charity, is looking for a new teammate passionate about conserving beautiful nature.

 

Nature: outdoor education

 

Responsibilities:

·         Deliver the organization’s mission and vision and motivate people to protect the environment through environmental education and community engagement;

·         Plan, coordinate and implement environmental education programmes

(mainly tree-planting, planting sites monitoring, Leave No Trace and sustainable trails education programme; and also waste reduction and climate action);

·         Outreach to public participants and corporate partners to promote green messages on nature conservation and green lifestyle;

·         Liaise with participating groups on activity arrangement;

·         Prepare educational materials, publicity materials and publications to promote relevant green messages;

·         Handle project administrative works such as progress report writing, budget management, etc.;

·         Perform any other necessary duties as assigned by the Seniors.

 

Requirements:

·         Passionate about making a difference on the environment. Had a strong belief on the vision and mission of The Green Earth;

·         Bachelor's degree or above (Graduate in environmental subject is preferred);

·         At least 1 year of working experience;

·         Outgoing and a nature love ;

·         Self-motivated, to drive your own workflow and output;

·         Good command in written and spoken Chinese and English;

·         Good communications skill;

·         Proficient in MS Office, Chinese Processing and basic graphic design tools.;

·         It is required to work in non-regular hours in the evenings, weekends or public holidays;

·         Physically fit to guide outdoor programmes. Field work is required;

·         Fresh graduate will be considered if he/she can show solid experience in field work or nature conservation education. Please tell us more in your letter.
