🌲 Into the Green Woods – Day and Night Ecological Exploration ☀️🌙

Over the past decade, the seedlings you and I planted together at The Green Earth’s tree-planting site have grown into thriving microhabitats that nurture rich biodiversity. What kinds of wildlife now call this place home? Join us for an evening woodland visit as we explore beyond sunset and discover the striking contrast in life and activity between day and night in the forest.

We are partnering for the first time with the 「 可觀自然教育中心暨天文館 - 生物科專頁 Ho Koon Biology Page」 and its team of nature ecology instructors to take participants deep into the Yuen Tun Country Trail Woodland. Together, we'll explore "The Green Earth Charity Woodland" by day and night, conducting ecological surveys 🐗, and documenting wildlife 📸. Nature enthusiasts are warmly invited to join us in building a biodiversity database for this reforested area! 📊

As part of this event, every participant will become an donor of a tree in  "The Green Earth Charity Woodland". The Green Earth will take care of the a native seedlings for years after planting to further enhance Hong Kong's biodiversity. Don't miss this meaningful charity ecology event—sign up now!

Time: 3:30 PM – 9:30 PM (including travel time)

Location: The Green Earth Charity Woodland, Yuen Tun Country Trail, Tai Lam Country Park

Meeting / Dismissal Point: Tsuen Wan MTR Station

Eligibility: Nature enthusiasts aged 16 or above who are able to complete approximately 5 hours of outdoor hiking, including uphill/downhill sections and unpaved trails

Capacity: 25 participants

Instructor: Mr. Dickson Wong Chi Chun, Head of Biology, Ho Koon Nature Education cum Astronomical Centre, Sik Sik Yuen, together with his ecology education team
