It is an offence for a person to light or use a fire that has been lit in or near a forest, plantation or open area. Any person who offends is liable to a level 4 fine and to imprisonment for 1 year.

Any person who lights or uses a fire in a country park or special area in contravention of this prohibition commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a level 2 fine and to imprisonment for 1 year.
