外地不少國家公園均有山徑保育的教育工作，雖是重要但香港以往鮮有相關的研究、討論及教育活動。透過一系列公眾參與活動，目的希望引起公眾興趣去多了解香港遠足山徑的多方面貌(包括景觀、地質、歷史文化等…)，同時關注山徑現況、面對損耗和水土流失等問題以及管理面對的難度，明白保育遠足山徑的重要性及認識可持續使用山徑的方法。

香港的山徑擁有迷人風景，多年來深受登山者及遊客的喜愛。隨著使用量增加，部分郊遊徑耗損亦都增加不少。隨它？簡單修緝？華麗鋪建？不同的管理方法，你支持哪種？

政府部門、本地及海外研究學者、民間團體一同對談，為山徑管理交流意見，香港應該用什麼管理方式去保存郊遊徑的自然美。

Many national parks overseas have education programme on nature trail conservation.  Such issue is definitely important nevertheless rarely researched, discussed and acted on in Hong Kong.  A series of public engagement activities aims to boost public awareness on different facets of trails in Hong Kong, including landscapes, geology, historical culture, and problems like trail conditions and challenges on trail management related to heavy degradation and soil erosion. Publicwould understand the importance of conservation of nature trails and learn sustainable ways to use the trails.

 

A series of public engagement activities aims to boost Beautiful sceneries at trails in Hong Kong have been fascinating to many hikers and tourists.  With increase of usage, degradation of trails is also intensified. Should we let it be, repair in a minimal way or in a splendid way?  Which stream of management will you support?  Government departments, local and overseas scholars and non-governmental organisations discussed in a panel to exchange their views on trail management and the way Hong Kong should adopt to conserve natural beauty of hiking trails.
